Thinking the pavement was the problem ,not the post. Guess the lawyers will figure it out.
 
looks like the lift was all the way up, i stop a little less than a foot from the top max, and I'm 6ft. tall and can walk under it. the car will easily sway a bit if its pushed at all. lifts can be scary, especially chinesium ones
 
That would suck

maybe his insurance or Mecum's will cover it ?
