Well another hard season goes down! And amazingly we take out Bronze! Earlier this season we looked like we will settle just to take some points in each round, but coming away with 3rd position is amazing.

The weekend just gone saw us fail in the first heat on Saturday, blowing an out of the box 100% brand new turbo that was flown in to us from the UK! Something went wrong with the oil pickup system and the engine sucked oil into the turbo, bearing burned up and the turbo seized!
So we replaced it between heats. Another turbo..Went to heat 2, car was slow off the line, but we finished well and we came away with a chance to make into the A Finals in the 3rd heat on Sunday.
Sunday came, we replaced all the oil pickup system for the car, and played with the launch control a little to try and get more power. Go to heat 3, slow start again and I thought we were bound for the B finals, out of any chance for Bronze. But our driver Janne made some amazing overtaking moves on a track that was unforgiving all day for anyone trying to pass. We finished in first, and with a great time too...SO now we waited to hear what the other heats finish times were going to be like in comparison to ours.
About 30 minutes later, we hear the announcement, our team goes into A finals, albeit starting from the second row...But we were in with a chance. With the Gold and Silver positions out of reach, we were being pushed for Bronze by the 2 cars behind us.
The Final race starts, we are slow, in fact LAST into the first corner.
But the Gold/Silver battle was a matter of Silver needing to outright win the race to take Gold, and the team in the Gold position not needing to finish at all, just as long as the Silver team did not win..Seemed like gold was lost, the Silver team took off fast, but I now know what happened BEFORE the Final race. The driver of the team sitting in Gold position, went up to the driver in Silver position and TOLD him he will crash him out of the race! What a low life!
And this is EXACTLY what he did! He ran into the back of him, taking them out..And guess who was carving through the pack while this was happening? Yep, OUR driver! He cruised past the 2 front runners, and took the win.
So they BLACK FLAG the Guy in Gold position (but he still wins the Championship on points), the guy he took out took Silver and was pissed off big time. And we took Bronze!
The Silver winner goes to have a chat with the rat..
