Hi Everyone,
Please forgive my newb-iness on this one. I did make an effort in searching on this topic, but couldn't find much on PST. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the P-S-T disk brake conversion kits. They seem to include most of the required components, but are they worth the investment, or is it better to go with Dr. Diff or step up to one one of the Wilwood or SSBC setups? My car will mostly be a cruiser with maybe some autocross events once in a blue moon. I've heard that the Willwoods aren't very street-able and the SSBCs are 50% for and 50% against. Any help will be most appreciated! :-D

Thanks in advance!

James

here's the one I was looking at...

Very likely Dr Diff and PST both get their kits from The Right Stuff Detailing. I bought my disc brake kit from Cass at Dr Diff; great experience. The brakes are installed but my engine isn't so I can't comment yet on performance. I didn't got with Wilwood or SSBC because they're expensive. Plus the Dr. Diff kit replicates Mopar parts so if I ever need a replacement I can go to any auto parts store and ask for a 78 Cordoba. Looks like you're going with manual brakes; if you're going with power disc I would suggest buying the at-wheel disc brake kit and buy the m/c and Bendix style booster separately.

PST is a vendor on this site; go to the vendor forum to look them up. I rebuilt my front end using all PST parts, also a great experience.

I have a kit from Right Stuff on Back Order, should be here by the end of the month (I hope?)
The price was pretty good, but than I ordered all new stainless lines, cables, clips, etc. My 46-year old lines don't look too great.

If there is anything that I can answer for you about our various kits please let me know. We offer our own with the oe type boost and master or Wilwood. Please feel free to contact me via PM or phone and DON"T forget to use your members discount when ordering.

Thanks
James
