Getting closer to paint. I'm really digging the new green on the 2010-2012 challengers (green with envy) Pge paint code. I will post a pic. Thinking of this for the bee clone. Opinions?

I am using pge on my 68 charger. There is build thread on here somewhere for it. I haven't updated in forever cause there hasn't been much action on the car. Mainly collecting parts for it. But im happy to say all body parts have been aquired and so has the 4 link setup. So hopefully soon I can post some stuff. But anyway, yeah pge is the stuff. Mine will have a black vinyl top and black stripe.

Sounds good to me...
My 70 Bee is FY1 or F1
Top Bananna yellow w/ blk vinyl roof, Black hockey stripe.

BUT: If I were to get another Superbee, I'd love it to be Go-mango and the Black vinyl roof.

There is a 69 Bee going thru RESTO here on the Forum, it's Go-mango and it has a white interior AND a white bumble bee stripe.

Looks awesome.

Keep us posted...
Scary decision because you want it to look good.

Is that the one that's kinda like the Camaro ("HotWheels") Synergy Green? If so, that would be a real cool Bee! Especially with the right wheels. White or black bumblebee stripe?

It's not a bad colour, should look nice on your car. It does remind me a bit of a '69 Chevy colour, like you'd see on a Chevelle or Camaro. challenger2011zenvy.jpg

Oh nice. Looks lighter side than Camaro Synergy. Beautiful though, and definitely would look good on a B-Body, IMO.

Thanks for the responses guys! I'm thinking of slate grey on the bee stripes, I was going to go centari black cuz it's only 160.00 a gallon and acrylic enamel single stage so no cost for clear, but then yesterday I saw a challenger in that green and I was impressed. Problem like everything is cost. Materials for that color are 452 a gallon of base coat in dbc, 200 a gallon of good DuPont clear plus reducers/etc. vs. simple acrylic enamel single stage. Good news is I just sold my house and made 25k on it so I money to dump in to the pit! Don't tell my wife. Lol. As far as vinyl top, not a personal fan, but it might look good with one to break up the green. That green looks great I keep lookin at it.. I will check out that build thread

I don't think the vinyl top would be necessary to break it up. I am only putting one on cause my car was built with one. a super bee would look great without it.

I was lookin on the net and found a semi close stock color to that Pge. Atleast on a monitor. F6. Looks gooood!

Update. Went to paint shop today. Yikes. 652 a Gallon for what equates to two spray able gallons. Paint guy said I would need two gallons because of coverage issues with that color. That's 1300 in base color plus 400 in clear and then reducers etc. 2gs all said and done in paint/clear. That's rediculous. He said I could tint the primer to help with coverage. Advice?

You may consider Dupont Chroma-one... it's a single-stage urethane, I've used it a few times with good results.

WileRobby, Sorry, I had my paint names messed up. The correct brand that my color was most reasonable in cost was Diamont bc/cc. it was only 452 for the base vs. 650 for chromabase bc/cc. I you have any opinions or previous experience with Diamont, I am all ears. Thanks, Erik

Paint color change. I really like f6 bright green metallic! Period correct too
