Painting dash/bezel..."flat,satin...what kinda black?"

Putting 1965 Satellite back together.

The dash insert, gauge surround, bezel (I don't know what to call it) is originally black. Mine was newly rechromed so the whole thing is real pretty and new and....entirely chrome. So I need to mask and shoot the center panel.

What degree of gloss is correct? Flat, satin or something else? Please keep in mind I'm using a rattle can and whatever I can get at hardware or autoparts store.
