Peanut Farmer Down...

Really..... so that elevates someone else to dumbest living Pres.

His motorcade drove past my school in 1976 or 77.
We all went outside to see.
Was in the back seat of a green four door '76-ish mercury montego.
Remember the "energy crisis"...so he chose not to use a limo.

I drove past his peanut farm in 2005.

I made car payments on a 1980 Audi 4000. POS. Too bad the APR wasn’t Peanuts.

He seemed like a good guy but wasn`t very good at running the country. At least he lived long enough to see a President come after him that was much worse.

RIP and like other said seemed like a nice guy just a horrrible leader. A positive note for him is at least he was able to go witnessing the WORST President in US history. I think it is why they took that photo years ago as it was the passing of the baton….

But wasn’t he a commander of a nuclear sub. That job isn’t for dummies or non-patriots
No, he worked for Naval Reactors as a Lieutenant during the development phase of Nuclear Submarines. He did pass an interview with Admiral Rickover, which having passed Naval Nuclear Power School training and serving on Two Nuclear Submarines myself, I can tell you, that passing an interview with Admiral Rickover is impressive. Admiral Rickover personally interviewed every officer candidate that wanted to attend Naval Nuclear Power Training. Before the interview Rickover would stack books up on the chair where the candidate would be seated, to see what the candidate would do. The ones who sat on the books failed. Carter never advanced past LT in 7 years which is not impressive.

"We need to have a realization that we’ve got about 35 years worth of oil left in the whole world. We’re gonna run out of oil." — Jimmy Carter, U.S. president

Carter made that prediction in 1976 when he was running for president. 35 years came and went in 2011. And the world is not beginning to run out of oil. Another climate/energy scare put to rest.
