I know this has been covered, but looking for suggestions on this specific application.

My '70 Charger already has the 2 holes in the fender to mount this rare gold metal Pentastar emblem (I know it's an older mid-60's emblem not correct for my car, but it's much better quality than the cheap plastic foil-lined ones, and the shiny gold will look so much nicer on the dark metallic green paint).

The emblem I'm using is the one on the left, one of the pins is broken off. I believe it's made of brass. I'd rather not file them flat, I want to reinstall it in the existing holes after removing the existing base gasket material.

The question is, which adhesive would be the best to use?

FYI The one on the left is for an older car, like 1966 and older.

I noted that, but thanks. :)

Of course, every single time...a product that sells for $5 or $6 USD is inexplicably over $50 CAD from most vendors. Unbelievable...I did manage to find it for $29 on Amazon Canada but that's still a ridiculous price jump.

Surely you have a tube of gasket maker, shoe goo, or anything similar in your possession already. One small dab of anything like such will work

I do, but I also have to re-glue my sail panel emblems to the vinyl top and want to use the best product. It just burns my a$$ that a cheap product triples or quadruples in price for Canadians.

If you are going to exert that much time and energy on this, why not drill the broken stud out and JB Weld in a replacement. Tedious work, but doable.

It's seriously not that bad... walk into CTC or Homehardware and stop shopping on Amazon and paying shipping.
Neither product, 3M 03601 or 08061 exists on either of their websites. It might be on a peg board though, but it's not searchable. Would that it could be so simple. It's $42 at Grainger and more everywhere else. Trust me, I can search quite thoroughly when needed. :) One U.S. vendor was selling them for $3 a tube...but with $62 shipping.

These days my "go to" adhesive for just about everything is a tube of polyurethane adhesive from some place like home depot. This **** will stick anything to anything - SERIOUSLY !! Ok, its not thin like crazy glue so its not going to be an invisible joint BUT it literally will stick anything to anything. And unlike something like silicone that has very little strength, you could literally make a bungee cord out of this stuff.

Yes, its in a tube - just seal it well after use. I usually start with a small hole and use a LONG screw to seal it. I quite often have to yank or even drill out the dried plug. So what, its worth the effort!

I swear to God, if you could get an elephant to stand still long enough this stuff would hold it in place !!!
