Does anyone here run the performer RPM intake on a 440 in a 66-67 b-body? I want to know if I will have any hood clearance issues before I buy one.

Thanks,

I run it on a 69 b body and I had issues with a decent air cleaner. I ended up installing a six pack hood and using a 5 inch tall air filter. She's breathing really nice!!!

my 383 has a clearence issue as well so also installed a scoop.

I have an M1 (basically an aluminum copy of the stock iron intake) on my 66 with a Holley 850 and a 1" spacer and with a STD Moroso round air cleaner it looks like it may not fit or will be really close. If I use the short filter element it might fit. I also set my STR 14-6 on it with carbs and the air horns are about even with the fenders, so no way will that work!!

Im putting a knock off on a small block thats going in my 66 Satellite. I plan on solving clearance issue with this. . .

Kinda pricey and may not be the look your after but I just don't want to cut holes in my hood and I know that even with a standard Performer on the small block I could only run a 10" x 2" air cleaner without having clearance issues. PLUS its almost like a "free" 15 - 20 HP do to it being a true cold air set up, especially since I am in Hawaii.
