Is anyone running a Pertronics D143711 distributor? MSD’s are pricey, but are they worth it?

A while back I used a RtR to break in a 440 on the dyno. No problems and it made several pulls at 480ish hp. Make sure you get the right coil. The MSD unit bolted to the dyno didn't like the RtR distributor.

The cheapest/easiest way to get a high output ign system is to:
[1] Leave Pertronix's dist on Pertronix's shelf.
[2] Get a GM 4 pin HEI for less than $50 & use it with any Mopar elect dist.

Wiring info on the net, simple hook up.

I had a 65 slant 6 Coronet with the Pertronix dist. I also used a better coil and aftermarket ballast resistor. After a couple of years I never had any issues. I sold it last year but I don't know how the new owner is making out.

I am using a couple drop in Pertronix Ignitors. No issues for several years use on either of them.
