And the height of that air filter element though for a 496 . A nice 1.75" drop base like the Moroso, will allow a taller filter element. Was reading testing of the dropped base design with curved (bell shape) lid/hat design actually smooths the airflow signal to the carbs and can make more power than a holley using no air cleaner at all. And GM/Mopar etc had their air cleaners like that back in the day. There's a factory Corvette one that's a 2" drop base and notched all around to clear the holley 4bbl. Summit and other sell a reproduction.. I found one dude swear buy it that it dyno's more power on 600+hp engines than open carb!
