My daughter Carole and myself with my 70 Charger R/T in 1991,with my A12 440 Sixpack Superbee beside it. My daughter is 35 now. The red 68 Hemi Charger R/T on the other side of the A12 Superbee belonged to our own Richard Cranium!

I saw this picture of this sweet 68 Hemi Coronet R/T in day two trim! This is how a Mopar Muscle car should look!

I just received an old pic from my sister. Funny how the simplest things can make such an impression, eh?

This is my siblings and I with mama circa 1967. The car was a '36 Buick my dad was fooling with
at the time - and the first one I can remember "helping" him with.

On a related note, I've just received 18 8mm films from the early 60's thru the 70's that my mama
had made of the family over the years - now converted to digital form so I/my remaining brother and
sister can watch anytime we like.
It's an expensive process to get done - but watching these films again today for the first time in decades
has totally messed with me in so many ways. I've been out of sorts this week as a result...
Lots of long-dormant memories to be sorted through.

Hi Ed;
I buried my younger brother last week, so I know what you mean about long dormant memories. He was half the country away and estranged for the last 20 years. My sisters and I managed to get his cremated remains returned to Ontario to be buried with his parents.
On another note, your dad's Buick in the picture was actually a 1939. My first car was a 1939 Buick coupe that I bought in 1963. I recognize the trim on the side of the hood, that is the hood release.

My son found this picture on Facebook and sent it to me. I have never seen it in colour before. My new SuperBee and me at the main intersection in Grand Bend, Ontario, in the summer of 1969. Sunfire Yellow coupe with RamAir hood, chrome reversed rims and rear deck aerial identify it as mine. Turning left at the light takes me to Grand Bend Dragway. Story of my life, being followed by a "holstein" (O.P.P. cruiser). LOL
My 'Bee would be sporting an A12 hood and Magnum 500's later in that year.

I'm very sorry to read of your loss, sir.
Man, I know everyone has to go through these sorts of things as we get older, but damn...
I'm glad to read you were able to do right by him in the end at least. Good on you!

Hmmm, I believe you're right about the model. Eh, doesn't matter I guess. A 6 year olds' memory....
But yeah, I got all the "shine the light where I'm working, boy!" stuff started with him on that car. :)

I saw it a few years ago as a black and white. I used to get a daily post from Hemmings, since I had listed a car for sale with them. Anyway, as part of this post, they would publish an archival photo with lots of cars in it for watchers to try to identify. One day, it was this picture taken by the London Free Press, and published in the summer of 1969. London, Ontario is the largest city in my immediate area, and is located halfway between where I live and Grand Bend. My future wife's family had a cottage at nearby Port Franks on Lake Huron, so I was in the Grand Bend area quite a bit that summer. But, you are right, Ed, a lot of coincidences had to happen for me to see this some 50 years later. I never saw it in the newspaper at the time.

Lots of cool iron in that picture! Most cars were cool back then, not like todays cars where you have to look at the emblems to tell what they are! The Bee is a standout in that picture! I sure miss my 69 1/2 A12 Superbee 4 speed car !
