Pics from Back in the Day

If you ask me that style was ahead of it's time. Heard they were rust buckets? T/F?
True. I once had a 1956 Golden Hawk, with 352 Packard in it. The deeper I got into it, the rottener it was. Medium blue metallic and white with blue interior. I had to bail on it, as even the frame was rusty.I ended up selling my parts I had accumulated, and broke even. I still think they are pretty cars.

I don’t think Studebakers were any worse than other makers of the day. All of the late 50s early 60s cars rust pretty bad. Their styling was ahead of its time, and I think the early 50s trucks were better vehicles, and better looking, than the big 3 trucks.

Same two guys, give or take 45 years apart. We used to race as a team back in the day, and met up today at a race at St. Thomas Ontario.
