Brian Bowater who dragged that Falcon used to race Des Keven - the previous owner of my ex-GTX. They had quite a back & forth battle on the track in the early '70's. Both held records in their classes.
The first time I saw my ex-GTX back in June 1985......

Yes....at my local track - Meremere.
My great friend Mark aka @super-bee_ski here at FBBO paid a visit to Des a few years ago on my behalf and presented him with a 1:24 scale model of my GTX in the original FC7 .....at Nevada Bass Shop.
Here they are holding up copies of a New Zealand Hot Rod monthly publication....

That's where he gained legendary status. Burt is a legend for having ridden every kiddie ride in Kiwiland.

World's Fastest Indian! I saw the movie about Burt. Very interesting.
Apart from artistic licence, it was very close to the truth.....even the money bag was the real deal that Burt was handed at the Salt Flats.
