Vintage GTX

I found this photo by chance. I was researching Tyson's Corner, VA looking for photos of the area before the land was developed. In a B & W photo dated 1968 you can see part of a 1967 GTX. The unique quick fill gas cap is visible. It would have been a new car at the time. I also included a link to the website where I found the photo. I enjoy studying history as a hobby.

Here's the link:

Here's the photo. Can you spot the "late model" GTX in the foreground?

Tysons Corner doesn't look like that any more. I live pretty close to the area, and currently the entire area is torn up with construction with widening the DC Beltway from 8 lanes to 10 lanes and building the elevated Metro rail right down the center of RT 7 through Tysons Corner.
I was pretty young, but I remember my parents taking me to the grand opening of Tysons Corner Shopping Mall in around late 69 or early 70. We entered a drawing for a brand new bright red 1970 Challenger convertible that was on display in the mall. But, we didn't win.
Hard to believe that an area that looked like your photo in the 60's, boasted of "more office space than all of Dallas, Texas" by the 1980's.
Sorry to get off topic. Heres a factory photo I ran across on the internet from Chrysler of Canada.

Here,s a few pics of my car...Did alot of research for the stripes...early Plymouth ads show the stripes go below the grill on the front...Very few cars I,ve seen have this..I thought it was cool so this is what I did...heres another shot of the interior with the factory tach on the console..I had the tach and all the guages resilk screened to challenger white...I just like to be different...Note the Kings signature on the glove box door...I,m a huge Petty fan..Thus petty blue color...
