Pictures of Mopars with black intake manifolds

I'm definitely not gonna say I'm an amazing powder coater but I've been very happy with how the stuff I've done has come out and held up. I did almost every piece of chrome on my Harley 2 years ago and it came out great and has held up awesome. you don't realize how much chrome there is until you work with almost every piece. Never been much of a fan of chrome like the blacked out look much more. haven't done the forks yet as I didn't feel like disassembling. The exhaust I did not coat it came that way when purchased. I feel like an intake would be pretty easy once it's up to temp it has such a rough texture you wouldn't really see imperfections.

Thanks but I do my own powdercoating have for several years. I also own my own sandblaster and blasting cabinet. Was just curious about the specific color.
I do a lot of things myself. Doesn't mean I don't choose to "farm out"/support/seek advice from professionals
in the business who help support our hobby - and of which the hobby would never have gotten to this level
of popularity if those of their ilk hadn't bothered.
Lookit...
Regardless of your claimed experience/abilities, you are here seeking advice on here in a public forum.
As such, I'm suggesting you seek out an acknowledged expert in that field for consultation - and Leanna
ain't just a powder coating expert.
Good luck either way.

I feel like you think I'm being ungrateful or like I'm trying to brag or poo poo on your advice that is not what I'm doing. I'm just trying to point out that this post was about me powder coating this myself. I was just looking for opinion's on a specific color which was like the title states black manifolds. The purpose of my post was to decide whether I was going to powder coat my intake alien silver, black, or leave it raw aluminum. I'm certainly grateful for all advice and will consider it all but the part of this hobby I enjoy is doing the work. I'm not the buy a completed classic car kinda person. I'm certainly not anti buying completed cars but I've never had the money to do so but what I have had is some knowledge and the drive to get them to be what I want. Thanks for all your advice and I apologize if it seemed different than the way I intended it.

Thanks for the tags gentlemen! :thankyou:

I've coated a few intakes black over the years but none have been for a V8 Mopar, mostly SBCs. I'll share them but don't know if these pics will assist with your decision. If it helps, all the customers were delighted with these results so you might like yours too. Keep in mind there are important steps to properly prep used aluminum that weren't so important on your bikes' chromed steel parts. But learning is part of the adventure! :D

Good luck turning your idea into reality. Keep us posted on how it turns out.

Thank you very much for the pics they look awesome. I've seen your work in many posts on this forum and they always look great. I usually have to think about something for a while before I can come to a decision so we'll see what happens lol.
