In many of these cases I think I could have done a better job in my garage with a sawzall and an air chisel.
Ewwww...!!!
thats not a botch job....he wanted to look like a corpse. it just took a few more years for the end result
Got a before and after pics? There's a guy on one of the car TV shows with a crooked mouth and yeah, I know what you mean about looking like having a permanent smirk....I had **** done.
There, I said it.
Not to that extent, though. Here’s another long rambling story. If you need to pee or get a coffee go now.
All of my life I had a crooked smile, tilted to one side. Like a permanent smirk. When I was nine I broke a front tooth, and for whatever reason they replaced it with a stainless steel one. I dunno why, I was nine.
It was ******* horrible! It photographed as black, so every picture of me made me look like a juvenile meth addict. That, along with big lips (bullies referred to them as “N word” lips) and unmanageable curly hair gave me about three decades of ZERO self esteem. I lost myself in drugs and alcohol, living homeless on the street for two separate periods. My close friends kept rescuing me. My teeth deteriorated from poor diet and lack of maintenance.
In 1994 I found someone who loved me as I am and I married her and settled into middle class life. Worked hard, made a few bucks. Started going to beautiful Mexico and ultimately bought a place there.
When I saw how advanced and inexpensive their medical and dental care is I looked into getting my face repaired. I found a phenomenal dental team of around six specialists. It took three major visits in 12 months, and around $15k. They skinned one side of my jaw and ground it down to the level of the other side and stitched me up and did eight implants, four crowns and a three tooth bridge. Adjusted my jaw so that I have a symmetrical face and by adjusting my jaw my lips now appear smaller. This change was dramatic, and somewhat initially traumatic. When I look in the mirror I am not who I remember.
Now none of this is really the same as what Hollywood stars are doing, but the results make me at least understand their motivation.
When I returned and my coworkers saw me the first time they were astounded. As soon as I was out of earshot their comments were “Have you seen Garth? He looks great!” Even now, a year later, people who I rarely encounter will favourably comment on the change. Hot women notice me, not just the change in appearance but in the newfound confidence and ease.
I’m not telling this brag or blow smoke up my dress. I tell this to show how it could be addictive. I have never felt better about myself in the 62 years of my existence.
I’m lucky in that I didn’t get fish lips, weird eyes, or concentration camp cheek bones. My changes will age naturally.

That’s the after picture. Normal is what I was aiming for.
