you ask, where did you buy this ? ..and the person says... "So" I went to the store yesterday and got two ... we don't need "so" in there ..bugs me, I hear it on TV all the time when they ask a question..seems to be a recent thing...guess I'm getting old

What about using "whenever" instead of just plain "when" as in "Whenever I was at work today..." I have a friend that uses that and it drives me crazy. I never say anything because it seems rude to correct and it sounds more like regional type dialect. Although I have heard it from people elsewhere that were not likely to come from the same area as this guy. Is this regional or just an annoying misuse?

Today it's "like" and "you know", but in our parent's day, the word they used was "see".

BE QUIET ! There is nothing to be gained by following any sentence with just sayin.

It stinks, but has it's use. Adding this to a sentence allows you to voice your idea around your jack-off boss without getting an immediate and thoughtless "no" as a reply.

I disagree. The "just sayin" makes people sound like an uneducated idiot. Something as simple as.."Just my opinion" would be a huge improvement.
