I think her performance was 'cringeworthy' is more commonly used.....at least down here.

One version of this that cheeses my Danish is the people that refer to Mercedes Benz’s as “mercs”. That may wash in Europe but over here mercs are vintage Mercury’s.

We have a younger bird (31 actually) at our Supplier. Her name is Ashley, but most call her Smash or Smashley....mainly because she managed to wreck a delivery vehicle.
But Greg's meaning also applies I suspect.......
