Traded for my 65 coronet with the original poly 318. Car spent most of its life in California. When I got it it had several freeze plugs leaking. So I pulled the engine out and pulled the heads off. Installed new seals and gaskets including the real main seal. Got it back in the car and then the trans started to leak after being rebuilt. Just got that fixed and now I hear a knocking sound down around the harmonic balancer. Sounds like a lifter rattling but this engine has solid lifters. I've adjusted the lifters several times. I had to replace the timing cover with the one that came off my 63 plymouth? When I did the swap, both looked to be the same. having trouble getting oil to come out the holes on the rocker arm assembly. Any help is appreciated.

oil comes thru the block into the heads from one hole under each head. did you use the correct head gasket for the poly? also rocker arm shafts need to be installed with the correct orientation or you will block oiling thru the shafts.

Pretty sure I got the right gasket set. Pulled the passenger side valve cover off. Oil is coming out of the rockers arms on cylinders 6 and 8. Don't see any on 2 and 4. Someone before has been into the engine. They've had the heads apart and the intake off at one time.
