Probably correct then. Many of the big truck engines (including marine and industrial) still used the wet intake. Didn't think about that before making my previous post. Chrysler quit using them in cars at the end of '54. 55 and later versions didn't have the theremostat in the intake. Dodge I don't think ever used a wet intake on their hemis and DeSoto always used a wet intake. Go figure.... The fact each division (except Plymouth) had their own version of the same design is one reason the hemi was so expensive and in the end... that's what killed it. The hemi was too expensive to produce when compared to the Poly or Wedge engines.
