Poly318 to 360 swap

KB67, I am using all 360 pulleys, brackets, etc on the engine. I think I found the correct pulley from Bouchillon, but its pretty pricey and with nothing working out as expected on this swap, funds are being sucked up fast! But anyways, I think the pulley that came w the engine was just the wrong one for the long neck water pump.

Yeah just take a look at a swap meet or two, last year I probably had two of the pulleys you needed.

What kind of TRANNY did you have with that poly?

Day 1 of the attempted motor install was an enormous pain in the ***. I made mounts to adjust for the shimming necessary and the engine still sits crooked, w the bellhousing within a millimeter of touching the damn firewall. Quite frustrated at this point. Gotta step back and re-group.

Alright, I finally got this thing running last night, after multiple setbacks. I still have to button everything down and finalize a few things before it is driveable, but it sure was a damn good feeling finally hearing it come to life!
In the end:
1) I used the original poly drivers side motor mount and the 360 passangers side motor mount, with an approximately 1" thick shim.
2) I used the original 727 transmission with the weighted flexplate.
3) Custom/ghetto lower radiator hose to mate the water ports (engine exits pass side, new aluminum radiator exits driver side)
4) I had to go back to a factory steel intake manifold because my pretty, brand new aluminum intake did not clear the hood. For sale if anyone wants it!

Thanks again for the helpful advice and patience answering my many questions. There still may be more stupid questions to come once I take it for a test run or two.
