Possible found a 68 RR

You'd think if you were asking that much for a car that you might want to put at least a few details in your ad.

naw.....it's blue, it's a road runner...what more could a buyer need to know?

I emailed him,

re:The engine has Been freshly rebuilt does not have more than 500 miles on the engine It has never been wrecked the transmission is brand-new and the rear end has been completely redone all original all the lights work car has all original fenders doors and quarter panels no rust It is listed for 22500.00
Make me an offer:

Now I just need to find someone near him and see if they can go look at it for me. And what do yall think is a fair price?

make sure he has the paperwork to back up what he says. good luck!

By the pic's..........I'd say 16.5-18K is all I would pay if it's the original drivetrain. That's without looking at it. I may be a bit optimistic. 22.5K, forget about it, not this cat.

X2 looks a litte ratty under the hood and if that shifter and signal switch are any indicator of the rest of the interior,i would say perfumed pig.$16.5 may even be a stretch.

I wouldn't go past 5k on it myself. If you are going to pay that much for a car still needing work, keep looking and go on ebay. I see cars and Roadrunners that are restored go for 15-25K.

Its an original drivetrain but he said this

I've got the cam spec sheet put away but ill find it , it has a 625 cater AFB
carb everything else is factory really it's a 383 be bored 40 over and the trans
is a 727 b automatic the rear end is 8 3/4 rear and it has 4.11 gears let me
know if there's anything else you would like to know

I have some more pics and will upload them in a little. Theres also a gold on gold one Ive seen on ebay/craigslist. One of the adds say 15k...problem is it needs to be blue and blue. Just figured this would be "Easier" What do yall suppose it cost to strip a car paint and re assemble and do a color swap on the interior

Keep a watch on ebay and craigslist Christmas time is coming and then the near year people will need the money and deals will show up. I have seen a few project 68s come up and not go that high.

To do a color change you are looking at 5-10k in paint. Then for the interior maybe 1-2k.

I think there is a post 68 Roadrunner on ebay right now that is B5/B5-

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1968...0114417?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item3ccc915571

I don't know what it will go for but I think it is a more honest car and still a project but a great starting point. If those are AMD fenders there was a problem with one of the years either 68 or 69s lining up right if I remember from a thread on one of the boards. I have been watching this car and like you I want a 68 post car either a Roadrunner or a Bee.

are frames easy to find and what not?

It would take a 68-69 Sat maybe all B body cars of those years are the same. If you have to replace front frame or even rare frame and not doing the work yourself you are looking at some serious money.

What car needs the frame you are looking at?

Its best to start with a really good car to save money in the long run. AMD may make rear frame rails.

The body only car you posted

I couldnt tell a frame was missing. Are you sure? The rad support is there in the front and in the engine bay I can see the frame. I dont know how they could hang all that on the front without a frame and the rear looks to have it as well.

The car is sitting on body dollys or supports to wheel it around since it has no suppension from what I can tell. This car looks to have been started from the ground up.

I'd go after a complete car, even needing work. at least you know allt he small parts (nuts, bolts, screws are all there.)

The red one from WI on moparts seems decent. He always has some neat stuff and usually priced to sell.

Was talking to the guy with the blue one and he said lowest he would go is 16k
