Possible found a 68 RR

Here's a link to my buddies '68 RR he is trying to sell. He's asking $16k. It's a solid bird so you'll have no rust repair but has little things you can still tinker with. I know there are no interior shots but I would say his interior is driver condition. He's got bucket seats in it now but it was a bench. http://www.ksl.com/auto/listing/14342575

The first car is one of those cars that just needs to have a hammer hit to the head and parted out. The only way it moves is if the sucker who buys it can find a bigger sucker later on.

You realize Im looking at my dads car right there? I just called him and got some information. Eagle, is there anyway you can get me some more detailed pictures?

I'm sure I can, I'll see if he can get them to my phone.

Yeah, that first RR is pretty dang rough, and the 2nd one is better, but not by a lot. Like these guys say, you gotta be patient. It is a buyers market in this economy. I found my 68 RR in a barn and a guy I worked with had it. I knew about it and bugged him for probably two years. One day he called me and said. "I'm ready to sell the Road Runner if your still interested." We got together on the weekend, and the deal was done! They are out there, you just have to be patient. It's just like hunting for deer, you gotta wait and wait until the right one for you comes along!

Whoa! Was that thing sitting next to the Titanic at the bottom of the Atlantic? First off, go with the simple restoration equation..."Whatever you think it is, X3." The rust you see...There's 3 times as much. How much will it cost to restore...3 Times as much as you think. How many parts do I need..3 times more than you're guessing. How long will it take..3 times as long. How pissed will the little lady be....3 times, well....maybe 4 when it comes to that car.

Like the other fella's mentioned, be patient. There is much better deals out there, with cars in much better condition. That car will no doubt need an Epic restoration, requiring serious skills, tools, money, time. I could see if was your dads actual '68, but other than that...run forest..runnnnnn.

thanks yall Im looking everywhere, I feel like these cars come in waves sometimes there are none sometimes theres a couple to look at. Anyone have any suggestions for looking for one minus Ebay, Craiglist, here, moparts?

here is a place I look at from time to time. They also have a section for project cars.

I always see cars on Moparts over priced way over priced. I used to go on that board a lot but feel if you don't have the money those guys rip on you. I have seen more fake cars passed off as real cars on that site and I have been kicked off more then one time to only go back. If I see a bogus car I call them out.

Come to think of it I have been kicked off our local classic car lot more times then I can count. The icing on the cake was a 71 so called Six Pack Cuda that was really a 70 Barracuda. I told the people get a book learn the numbers the code was a G code not a V code car. The dealer was ticked and his big body guard type guys didn't care for me either lol.

I really like the link I gave you so enjoy a lot of MOPARs.

Ive seen them all man but yes it does help, Ill take any advice or suggestions always open to them. The gold one would be ideal, cause its a 68 RR coupe but, damn id feel bad taking a good looking car like that to change some things but oh well maybe if he can come down just a little bit , the blue one is perfect minus its not a RR. ( I know they are the same but if I can find a RR I will take that)

that's what was done with them in '68...owners made them their own!

Found some pics of the ol car...The old man getting it done
