Camshaft swap might not be your best bang for the buck in your case.... I would look at getting into a new set of heads if it were me... Getting that engine to breath will reduce your ET the most, and although a camshaft can and does make the engine breath differently, your intake and exh ports will choke the camshafts designed profile to something other than what it can already do.
There are plenty of people who have ran 11's with factory cast iron heads with port work,,, I think it's so much easier to purchase a set of Edelbrock heads and know that your options are open for the next level in performance, and cheaper in the long run too!

I agree something with the cylinder heads 1st at least a minimum of some professional bowl & port work, multi-angle performance valve job, {I agree it's probably better in the long run to buy a set of 84cc chambers or smaller to bring up the compression ratio, in an aluminum cylinder heads, there much lighter & flow much better to begin with, you be money ahead in the long run, compared to making the 906's work, but they can be ported too} a much better performance oriented style carburetor {& intake ?}, adequate sized fuel supply/pump, filter & lines, more camshaft to fit your needs weight gears converter etc. & quality adjustable rocker & shafts, w/proper length & style of push-rods, properly matching valve-train components, maybe a looser/higher rpm stall speed converter, all other thing that would help, like sub frame connectors, the battery moved to the trunk & a set of drag radials at a minimum or slicks, a set of adjustable drag shocks frt/rear, a set of Calvert/Caltracs traction suspension bars or a set of S/S springs w/adj. pinion snubber would be a good idea too, if you don't already have that stuff... taking some weight out of the car is also a great way to go faster, replace hood & bumpers with quality fiberglass peices... It's all about power to weight ratio in the long run.... Good luck & have fun

71 Charger street car, 4150 lbs with driver and fuel.
451" stroked 400 block, 11:1 compression, B1 B/S heads, Ultradyne 251/251@ 0.050, 0.614" street roller cam, M1 intake, Holley 1,000 HP 4150 carb, Hooker 2" headers, TTI 3" "H" pipe exhaust with superflow mufflers, 3.91:1 gear, 27" M/T ET Street tires, 10" Converter (about 3,500-3,800 stall).
No hood scoop, only traction aid is a pinion snubber and extra leaf added to the stock springs.
consistent 12.50@110mph at Bandimere. Took it to MATS in Vegas and ran 11.80's @ 115 MPH without changing the tuneup.

That was the old reliable 451 engine. The new 500" stroked 400 with 12.4:1 compression, Max Wedge Victor heads, Indy intake, and Comp 264/264 @ 0.050", 0.714" cam (same carb and exhaust) makes about 100 more HP. The car has run mid/upper 11's at 120 MPH (at Bandimere), but the 60' times are not very good. I installed a spooled Strange S60 for this year, hope it helps. Also, this new combination has been unreliable because of the issues I have had breaking the rocker stands on the heads. I think I have got that problem solved

With that Combo Id'e say your leaving alot on the table somewhere! That's an awful lot of engine for the ET as you probably know.
Are you still spinning at the 1/8th mile marker? LOL! Sounds like a 10 sec ET build you have there.
My engine is a standard stroke 440 bored .030", a touch more compression, less camshaft MP 590 with 1.6:1 rockers, same heads, Victor intake, 4.10:1 8 3/4, running Mid tens...

Sounds like the man has a plan, I love them 6bbls on the street... I would suggest to get some better metering block/plates, I went with a Quickfuel Tech. tuneable for the center 350cfm carb, Promax tunable plates for the 500cfm out boards & 50cc acc. pump, slightly lighter vacuum diaphragm springs, larger squirter & staggered jetting it makes a big difference for drivability/tuneability....

thanks for the tips. I'll file away for now. I have a 440 6 BBL motor in my RR but running stock 4 BBL intake and Eddy carb. I have a 69 1/2 alum 6 bbl intake and purchased brand new 3x2 carbs, breather, lines, etc about 20 years ago but have never put this set up on any car. Some day i will!

Thanks. The car is not ideal for drag racing. It is/was my street car, is heavy over 4100 lbs, suspension setup for handling so it does not transfer weight very good. Now that the spool is installed, I may replace the Mopar 0.96" Torsen bars with some from a 318 car.
I would think it could get into the 10's at lower altitude, but the car has one other issue, no rollbar.

Yaa,,, elevation is a killer for you!
I left the 318 Torsion bars in mine, and I also installed my own CalTrac type setup late this year.... I hope they help me get a grip with the Hoosiers. I too have to install a roll bar into my car to keep from being asked to leave after the first pass! You can only do that so many times before they don't let you unload from the trailer... LOL!
