A long gone 25+ years combo that was fun ...69 charger 13.23@ 107.5 510 cu in. rb. 11:1 headers with mufflers, 284 .484 mp, 452's cast iron intake, thermoquad. 2200 stall, Radial tires with 3.23. Driven 170 miles raced 7 times got runner up smoked tires in final, drove 170 miles home Averaged 17mpg with racing. 21-23 mpg highway..fried the rings eventually trying to run 89 octane.

Stone bone stock A12 runner. It sat for years, not running.A friend bought it,found one of the sets of points grounded. I bought it from him with the intake,carbs, and aircleaner in the trunk.
I got it running with a known good 600 Holley and a tm7, not exactly the best-matched combo, while I rebuilt the sixpack setup. Ran with the 600 at riverside, 14.40s
With the six bbl, 13.60s. Pic is from Riverside raceway,late eighties, turn nine , the staging lanes for the one mile long backstretch dragstrip.
They used to run four wide 1/2 mile drags there in the fifties.

I've arrived at a point where I haven't been to the track in a year, because I bent the crap out of a Mancini top of the line (of the 2 they offer) pinion snubber, and I've been fighting wheelspin and crappy 60ft times.
I have a complete new front suspension system going in along with 4 wheel Wilwood disc brakes, and then asap I'm going to get Calvert split mono leaf springs and Assassin traction bars, Calvert sliders, and likely double adjustable Viking rear shocks (I currently have Viking double adjustable shocks on the front). I also have a Hydramax hydraulic throwout bearing and plan on getting the HitMaster launch control system, and getting both of those installed, hopefully my street strip clutch disc and pressure plate are up to the task of slipping some on a powered launch. I'm also getting my line lock installed, so at some point in that process I'll be hitting the track again, expecting 12s once I get my 60ft times better.
It's a real V-code 70 Roadrunner

My first car back in the mid 70's was a 68 Charger. Automatic, PS, 3.23, 2 bbl carb. Put on hp exhaust manifolds and duals, and the 68-69 hipo intake with a small AVS. Low to mid 15s @ 90. My car was probably 300 lbs lighter than yours and track elevation of about 800 ft (what ever Milan is).

basically, stock 360 2bbl motor and added 750 DP on RPM, and cam is .427/204*@050 on intake, headers.
2.94 open rear end, stock 904 and converter. 13.3's all day with 1.8 60 ft time.

BluePrint Engines 408ci Stroker with Holley Sniper EFI. Automatic transmission with original 3-on-the-dash, Nitto drag radials and Vintiques all round. Gear ratio was 4.10:1, and a 8-3/4" Sure Grip unit. Well prepped track...ready for some really fast cars that day.

Wasn't able to run after this one - broke my belt and punctured the radiator that day. Great experience though.

I have been running pretty consistently 106 mph in the 1320, but my 60 ft times are horrible, 2 seconds or so. That's all about to improve I believe with a few traction assist parts. I believe I should be in the high 12s. You should be in the low 12s at least, right?
What kind of traction problems are you having? Tires? Springs? Shocks? Etc?

Wallace says 107.9mph is good for 12.30s, with an ideal setup, and traction.

A little leaning out and it's 500hp. All kinds of traction problems. 295/50/15 Bfgs spinning with a 4 speed. Off and on off and on the throttle. Rancho 9 way adjustable shocks in the rear with Super Stock Springs. I'm just having fun on the track but this thing should do mid to low 12s.

My 440+6bbl roasted the BFG T/As pretty easily. I have been happy with the Toyo Proxes TQ drag radials as a one tire only solution, but that is mainly because they work well on the street and I don't have to park if it rains.

A buddy has a 72 Demon and years ago we decided to throw some parts at it. I'm not much of a small block guy but built a couple for others and had a few left over parts. One was a .480 lift cam around 230 @ .050 Not real sure on the 230 but seems to be a lot of off the shelf .480 cams are around that. Anyways, the Demon had the original 115k miles teen in it and it wasn't smoking so it got a set of bowl ported 360 heads, Torker intake, 600 DP carb, new headers, valve springs, heavy duty MP stock style rockers, MP ignition. Also stuck in an 8 3/4 and 4.10 gears.

With the stock converter and some E/T street tires, the car ran a 14 flat but was really lazy off the line and crossed well under 6000 rpm but lit off at 3k and ran hard. Uh, so we stuffed it with more gear to the tune of 4.88's with the same ET tires. IIRC, the ET's were about 26" tall. Much better off the line but the added gear blew off the ET streets and hit 6k pretty early but gave us a 13.7x. I had set of 29" slicks hanging around so yup. The car didn't have enough grunt to even do a burnout (retarded cam? My buddy just did a dot job knowing I had a degree wheel) so felt dumb driving around the water lol.

The car's best move was a 2.2 60' but lit off at 3k and ran hard shifting at 6k and crossing at 6200 which resulted in a 13.51 @ 102. This Demon came with buckets and console and the only things removed from this car was the junk carpet and the heater. It weighed 2950 with manual steering and no AC. Kinda hard to believe it was so light. Came from the factory with no undercoating too. The trans was getting weak (original) so Gary parked it and has been sitting in his garage since about 99. It's also a totally rust free car. He offered it to me one time and don't know why I declined....

67 coronet 440, 440 .030 over, 906 heads, performer intake, Holley 750, mopar .284/.484 cam, Hedman headers. 3.91 gear, On a 26x10.5 MT sportsman 13.3 @ 105.

Love this combo. Had very similar in a ‘70 Coronet R/T but with a Holley 830 annular discharge and a CH4B. Auto or 4-speed? Mine was a 4-speed.
