Mainly looking for tuneups for factory cross ram with Edelbrock/Carter-style Carbs. Currently we run a '63 Plymouth Fury. 426 + .060, 12.2:1, Lunatti Solid Roller (.680 lift). Automatic with 4.56:1 gear. 9 1/2" converter (Dynamic). Cal Trac setup with adjustable shocks set on second tightest setting. 90-10 shocks up front on stock suspension. Best ET 10.81 @ 125.1 MPH.
Running 750 CFM Carters. 107 primary jets with 73-47 rod. Secondary .089 and .082. Since we don't run original max wedge carbs, they are turned 90 degrees on our mainfold. I'm wondering if i have the secondary jets on the correct side now (.089 Throttle Side)?
I got away from my original tune-up, but I believe I'm sneaking back up on it. The car only 60 foots in the mid 1.5's on a good day. Lately it's been even worse. Wondering what you can advise to pick up down low, or at the top end. Thanks as always. Tom
