I recently installed electric fans on my 65 Coronet, then Friday my voltage regulator went out. It had been acting up but went haywire this time. My question is I am installing a Power master 17509 75-85 amp alternator that I have had for a while just setting around and a new Electronic voltage regulator. I looked the alternator up on there website and it had a instruction sheet for it since it is a dual field alternator going on a 65. It shows to just hook up the field wire to either field terminal then ground the other field terminal to the alternator housing. I have never seen this before, is it common practice. I don't want to fry anything.
