i might buy from Classic, their basic Cardone, or the more expensive, around $400, or go with Steer and Gear for $500. Advice please!

Also Red Head out of Washington. For sure stay away from parts store, restoration companies and some other suppliers. Lifetime warranties aren't worth poo if you're always having to replace the leaky etc "reman" unit for free.

I put a stock rebuilt unit in my 65 and it works fine. .... But I should have gone with a firm feel .... too much power steering.

Any one know how to fix this?

PS Firm Feel has front bushings that increase caster beyond the factory bushings. I have them mounted, but cannnot yet comment on their effect, until I replace the stiff box and inop pump!

Depending on which pump u have u can slow it down. There is a thread on FABO called Pump it down. Do a search there. Kim

The fast ratio box from Classic is built by Lares Industries. Anyone have experience with their products? Thanks

I've always used Steer N Gear, but this last time around I had a few (minor) quality assurance issues.
