Power Steering

I have a 1970 Super Bee with power steering. I hate how it feels when driving. It is so sensitive and can be loose feeling at times, feels like you could turn it by blowing on the wheel. Does the Firm Feel or other steering boxes take car of this or is there a cheaper solution? I have read of other people having the same probem, but can't remember what they did. Please help me guys.

i just bought a stage 2 box from Steer and Gear...it's great!!! firm feel (pun intended) on the road, and a light feel when parking it. best of both worlds!! not cheap though. IIRC mine was $485. but it was drop in and go!

Thanks BeastlyBirdie, I remember seeing that article now and will give it a try. 0 dollars to make something work is my kind of thinking. Has anyone tried this and how did it work out for you?

Works great!! Did it on a couple vehicles, if you are still not happy, then get a modded box. But why spend so much...

can you put a 1968 fury power steering box on a 1970 charger I know the pitman arm shaft is bigger around but I thought you might could buy one for a later model charger and it would work thanks for any info mark

The article mentioned by Beastly Bird is a good one. I was wanting to try the same thing myself. But it will be awhile longer before mine hits the road. I would like to know if anyone on this site has tried this yet & if they are satisfied with the results

I will be trying the mod but don't know how soon. After the weather gets colder, then I have a bunch of stuff to do with this being one of them. I have a winter list, let's see how much of it I can get done????
