I bought a clutch pressure plate kit from summit racing and ordered bolts that were supposed to fit my flywheel! I have to 2 sets of holes in my flywheel one is for a 3/8 bolts the other I don't know it may be a 7/16 bolt, since that is the next size up. The 3/8 bolt fits the hole but very loosely and I know it would not stay it I tighten it down! Has anyone else had this problem and if so what size bolt do I need and where can I get it??

You might want to post up more tangible information on your application here.
You've not given much in the way of information. What engine? What flywheel brand/part number?
What kit from Summit? Hard to answer questions without facts.

It is 10.5 inch flywheel that fits a 8 bolt crankshaft on a 440 engine and it has 6 holes that the 3/8 bolts fit in perfectly but they fit way loose in the other holes that are very noticeable there are also 6 of them my pressure plate lines up with the larger bolt holes!

Pretty sure those would be 7/16" bolt thread.
Again, more information needed. Brand and part number of flywheel and clutch kit, for example.

I'm with you, after reading his posts a few times. The flywheel obviously accepts a couple styles of PP, and each with a different bolt size. It seems like he simply needs to buy the right bolts.

You need to buy the bolts that fit the crank, not the flywheel. The flywheel will center on the crank flange. The bolts merely provide the clamping force. Go on to Brewers website - they will tell you which bolts you need. DO NOT use bolts from a "specialty bolt shop", you need proper flywheel bolts.

I think he's talking about the pressure plate mounting bolts...??

Re-read his post - I think you're right.

Don't pressure plate bolts have a shoulder on them to register the PP ??

Stanton, why would you think a "specialty bolt shop" wouldn't have specialty bolts? Like maybe, flywheel or pressure plate bolts? Mine sure does.

If that is an inexpensive flywheel ( read chinese knockoff) there is a chance it is drilled metric. If the op. can't tell, maybe take it to someone who knows bolts. Someone who might work at a bolt shop.
