My button and transbrake valve body reaction time is NOT the issue. They work FAST. When I pop the button the car moves instantly.
My question is a quick reaction time on a Pro Tree where you CANNOT ANTICIPATE (without guessing) when the orange, orange, green are going to flash instantly.
Where I race you cannot go FULL DEEP (turning out the pre-stage light). It you do it is the same as a redlite.
So you have guess how deep you are going into the full stage beam....too far and you turn out the pre-stage light and they redlite you.
The shorter tire will automatically give me a quicker reaction time than the tall tire.
Everyone where I race all the guys use short 24" tires for the pro-tree classes. Some even use 22" front tires.
All the classes I race are pro tree.
I will find out for sure this weekend with my first race with the short 24" tires.
Las Vegas. Muscle Cars at the Strip Race.

Look at my helmet in this picture. Thats how I taught myself to see the bottom and not anticipate. If I tilt my head down it blinds the tree. Once I practiced it enough, I quit using it. It stays on the helmet just in case I need to go back to it. At that point... everything is a .500 pro tree. So my spot is the same on both trees.

Agreed, you do not need to anticipate to get a quick reaction time. Can't be consistent by anticipating. Anticipation is a guess, not a reaction.
