I loved those old intakes so much back then that I brought the intake in the house after I cleaned it alittle bit before cleaning it all to paint. Some 383 parts I cleaned up cranks in the house.
Man when I first started on eBay by a dad who just gave me his card like find your self son… I was so happy I was so happy… this is what made me not save anymore-so it did have a bad outcome some-I’d just look all day for anything to buy because I was learning a lot.. my dad wasn’t happy that I was using his card to do this but he eventually started trusting me a lot more especially after he got use to it especially the 1967 440 engine, getting the carbs restored, being a professional I kinda made him happy but still he does have a lot of limitations..
My dads the kinda guy that if I bought something of thousands or a thousand without his permission he got mad.
This has been some of the most enjoyable work because I get eBay. But now I’m kinda soaked into eBay but my dad understand these parts are hard to find when it’s a stripped car-why my dad is another mad because I wanted this car and moved heaven and earth to get it.
This is one of thr coolest pictures because it looks like a sun set with clouds a tree and landscape with different light and shadow I think it’s called abstract artwork.
If you look closely it’s a tear in the metal in the bed.
More pics. I had to add more spacers to align the tires.. I put tap over each set but one set fell of the tap and I didn’t know which side it was because I didn’t put a left or right on each sides spacers.. so I had to guess all four.
This was at one time a 4.10 ratio with welded spider gears we found out. We had to buy a entire new carrier ring and pinion bearings we used a spacer because we didn’t think the truck would come out so good. My dad was pretty impressed and thought we should have went true traction now.
5 degrees backlash which dad said it appropriate.
Don’t ever use a spacer with the wrong carrier it’s not a good thing to do it’s only a cheap thing to do……
The leaf spring brackets was welded up side down very imaginatively to lower the truck. They cut out the bed squares and lowered it.
we replace it and lifted it back up.
I remember when lifting my 1977 Monte Carlo to get 22s on it I cut sockets out amd put them in the middle of thr springs in front because I didn’t have any money. I just sold my old 29.5 outlaws that was a big big thing back then to buy those 22s you see on thr black truck.
This was a amazing buy I thought back then…. I was bouncing up and down happy because I took a chance because it had the screws and top pipe piece because when you have a stripped car I mean anything in a bundle is happiness… so when I opened it up it was a 8 fined water pump hp water pump.. 1967 date code also.
This was my favorite yo gi oh card back then.. I was a wheeling and dealer back then in 6th 7th grade I built some of the rarest cards including Ra and almost all of exodia.. I didn’t take care of most except this one.
This was the 402 bringing it home. The trailer is in the back-we drove all the way to Alabama to get this 402 because I thought back then that 402 are extraordinary rare. I got on eBay and started find blocks and I thought the 4 bolt main blocks was the same price as 2 bolt mains.. you can get a 2 bolt main block with parts for around 700 dollars complete but the tkb makes me happy.
This was some of the most exhilarating times but now six packs I’m used to I’m not as excited seeing them-It’s like that build up in a game when you get to a point wheee you have it all their nothing else to accomplish new to think about kinda just give up..
I see as the psychology of a billionaire nothing is incredible when dealing with 40 hemis thousands of muscle cars and 20-50 companies amd a Corp to lead it’s just gets old..
Back then id dream for a muscle car looking at crasiglist years amd years talking to dad look at this just to look at it. My dad was about to buy a roadrunner for 5000 dollars back then all there in pieces..
When dad got finically capable a chevelle was amazing….. I mean seriously I don’t have the same feeling I use to feel and I miss it.. the c10 was amazing for a few months I got to where I I didn’t wash it I didn’t care for it as much..
but still thr c10 was always my closest because I bought it.. I could’ve drove the chevelle all I wanted but it wasn’t the same feeling as driving that c10.
