Progressive Insurance sucks !

tpodwdog, I'd have to see your file to determine why they denied your stolen lumber claim, but from the looks of it they didn't adjust your claim properly. Did you file a complaint with your state's insurance department?

no ZDILLINGER ....i didnt do any of that. this happened in 2003 , i was new in business and at the time i didnt know any better. i felt that it should have been covered and argued with them until i threw my hands up in the air!

On the face of it, I'd say you got screwed but I couldn't say for sure. Its probably too late to make the complaint now (I don't know what the PA insurance code says with regards to time limits). I hope you switched carriers after that!

the company disbanded in 2006 because of shady scheister business partner...an all too familiar story. thanx for all of your input but where were ya 9 years ago,,,,LMAO !

So... The latest:

State Farm said because it was equiptment going back on the car they do not cover it.
SO between 2 insurance companies I have no coverage for the theft of my stuff. Althought State Farm says it would have been covered under my auto policy if I had it with them. SO Progressive still sucks and State Farm kind of sucks too!...

File a claim against the Garage's Liability policy. They are legally responsible for the theft of your auto parts because they had custody of them. The homeowners is a last resort because you don't want to pay the deductible if you don't have to. And file a complaint against State Farm with your state's department of insurance. This is incorrect; it doesn't matter that it was going back on the car, its your personal property and they should cover it. But DEFINITELY go after the garage. They are legally responsible.
