Project freshen up: 1968 Charger

Richard, now that the elections are over are you going to change your icon to something that speaks of your mad DA skills?

Mr. Cranium, That is some real work, time consuming work and it looks great! Someday i will have a air compressor that works as good as yours must to put it to the test! Very nice job bud...

As per thread #18 your not going to two tone the paint are you lol

I finally got the rest of the junk out of the car & as you can see, it's pretty much picked clean. I thought AZ cars were supposed to be rust free and I'm very upset after finding some rust below the rear windshield (see picture #3).

Stuck with such a rust bucket.......

That's rust! rotfl, ok, ill stick with being good as i do try to practice, rust... unbelievable, and yes it is rust but i don't think you should be up pacing the floors or anything like that sir! You do have the technology to save it from certain death!!! :)

Nice car! I feel your pain about that severe back window channel rust. I guess I was lucky!:)
Ought to look good in that color. Black or white interior?

Richard, here I thought you only bought cars that were nice and ready to drive. Seeing you doing all this work has restored my faith in you.

Whatchu talking about Willis? Over the past 4 years, I've taken apart & put together the 69 Daytona, put the 68 Hemi Charger back together, helped my buddy with installing the drivetrain in his 69 Hemi Charger (twice) and now this project. The only one I haven't done over is the 69 survivor Charger, and that aint happening.

Awesome work Dickie, the blue would look pretty sharp if that's what you end up going with. God bless solid desert cars, sorry about the rust disaster you discovered on those 2 square inches in the rear window lol

While the body is in the shop, I'm slowly cleaning up all the components. The biggest of course is the engine & since it was running ok, I'm leaving well enough alone. But I did buy a set of heads with hardened exhaust seats from Aerohead & just cleaned things up on the old 383.
