Work continues.... other lower front quarter section is stitched in along with a custom fabbed piece around the lower door corner.

Need to finish the welding for both sides of the lower quarter that I removed to repair the rockers and then it’s full steam on exterior body panel body work to make it straight. Also have a couple small patches in the driver door to replace.

Thanks man, it’s been a big job for sure, but rewarding. Excited for paint but know that likely won’t be until the fall. Back to work today so progress will slow down from the past two weeks...

Hours continue to pile up in getting this car gapped and straight. It’s coming along but taking my time. Just thought I’d update the thread in case anyone thought I gave up. LOL

Will have to update the thread with all the photos I’ve taken along the way in the body work. Have had to do some major surgery to get the gaps right.

Finished up I think the last gap issue in car. It was too wide from halfway up the door right to the top side. All set now!

You are doing a great job. That is a lot of work to get the gaps looking perfect.

Gaps are finished on the car and over the weekend I laid down the first heavy coat of hi build primer to begin the final stages of block sanding. After the car was blasted, I epoxied the entire car, then applied filler all over the car and got it pretty straight - that’s what you see in the first couple of photos.

Very happy with the gaps now. Finish getting it straight now and work on increasing the definition of the lateral body lines... a few more months before top coat...

Pretty sure I’m going with plum crazy. Going to do some spray outs and make the final decision.
