I don't remember any swearing in it. Lots of bad dialogue, but no gratuitous cursing.

May be the engineers are the Predators, there DNA intertwinded on another planet, food for thought. As the cap. stated, they (engineers) could have been making WMDs on remote planets. I thought it was pretty good, but I like SI FI movies, since I grew up on them. But who knows, maybe the ship they flew off in has the same stuf on board. If it makes enough money, they will make two or three more, milk it for all it is worth.
