I've learned a lot about the suspension on my 1968 roadrunner. Everything underneath was original 48 yr old parts. Two biggest takeaways so far are. #1 Its worth the $20 for the special ball joint socket #2 A special tool is not needed for torsion bar removal. My wife got me the blast cabinet for our anniversary. I got the drivers side done. Started the passenger side today

Nice work. Hope she got you a big compressor also cabinets eat air and like it dry.

I agree.. I also have the ball joint socket. But that only helps if you have the screw in kind and your threads are still in the UCA.

Nice of your wife to get you a cabinet. Cabinet and the parts looks good.

Looks good.. You sure you don't want to upgrade to discs while you're doing all this?

I've thought about this a lot. I know I want to upgrade to disc brakes. But I don't want to just get the cheapest conversion kit (370$). I want to upgrade to the Wilwood disc brake kit with the upgraded caliper and nicer rotors. My number one goal right now is to just get it back on the road.

You don't have to settle for the cheapest set. There are vendors that have a very good and complete kit with options even without breaking the bank, not bashing Wilwood neither.

Like the old saying goes "Pay me now, or pay me later". Either way, the car is looking good

Thank you. I am open to suggestions. FYSA my car has manual brakes.
