had the old timer Charlie at PTC converters build me a 11" 19 spline. told him i want like 2200 rpm stall like the 383 11" factory converter with positive fin bend. came out perfect very happy. not sure about the longevity of it. 365.00 shipped.

I have had and currently have one of Kenny Ford’s PTC converters and I highly recommend this company to anyone needing a custom torque convertor. As a bonus, they are super nice and easy to talk to!

I have had 4 PTC converters. Currently have 3 in 3 different cars.
One 10" 3600 w/65,000+ miles.
One 10" 4000
One 9" 5600.
No complaints with any of them. They all act like a stock converter on the street and flash where hey are supposed to when needed at the strip.

I just called and ordered a converter from them. Seem like good people and tolerated my lack of knowledge about converters. Basically, let them know that it was for street with occasional bracket racing, gave them tire height, gear ratio, displacement and vehicle weight. Answered their questions. I made sure to tell them where the engine was making torque because my engine builder was pretty clear to instruct me not to just buy a high rpm stall because the engine is making a lot of torque at relatively low rpm's and his opinion is to take some advantage of that. The guy on the phone seemed to be okay with what I told him, and he assured me they would make a converter that works with what I have. Again, I don't know enough about converters to tell them what I want them to build, just what I want to use it for. One thing that I find interesting is that the approximate quote I received is more than double what gtxrt paid. Not sure why, but if you are shopping for a converter and considering PTC, I wouldn't bank on being under 400 bucks.

double what gtxrt paid.
mine was for a 19 spline not sure if that makes a difference. they might have beef yours up more for racing. was it PTC out of Alabama there are different PTC converters one out of Texas.

These are the folks out of Alabama. Again, nice people, and I am not complaining. If it works like it should I will still consider it money well spent.
