PTC or Dynamic torque converter or?????

I'm looking for some input / real world experience with a street/strip converter. I'm looking for a 9.5" converter for my street/strip mopar. It's a 25 - 50 mile round trip car. Im bringing this mopar back to the streets and the current full boogie 5600 stall race converter won't cut it.





The combo is 512 ci 3300lbs 4.11 gear runs 10.30's with current 8" Coan race converter.

Can't go wrong with either. I am on my 3rd PTC in 3 different cars of mine. No complaints on any of them. Great street manors while cruisin, will flash as needed when stomping on it or racing.

ran a Lupo/Dynamic 9"(?) vert for several years behind both a 440 and 505 . Is a great unit . Got an A1 8"now , again ran it behind both the 440 and 505 it also is a great unit . Dynamic stalled to 5000 , A1 goes to 6000 .
Car is daily driver and bracket raced regularly .

For what it's worth, I went from a specifically built converter out of Aston PA (for my combo) to one from Dynamic in Delaware. I picked up .4+ tenths and almost 5 mph with that swap alone. Car ran the same through the first half of the tack, then drove through the converter at the end of the track. 11,50's @ 116 to 11.0's at 121 plus. Best investment I ever made in the car. I'm sure PTC is good as well, but I have no experience with them.

I am very satisfied with my Lupo Dynamic 9 1/2". Works great for the fairly short cruises & great at the track. Worked very well behind both my 500" and now my 512.

i am running my 2nd dynamic converter. 9" unit appx 4200 stall built specifically for my car/motor combination, told them on the phone i need it street friendly as well as tough enough for racing, they said with their postive fin angle that running it up and down the freeway would be o.k. with the 4200 stall. 4.56 gear. works great. would buy again and priced right,,650.00.

Can't say anything but goodness for Lupo and his convertors. I've never had a PTC unit though.
But I must be truthful in that the Lupo was misjudged for my car by my own mistake. I gave them the info based on another motor and it served me well both on the street and the track, but not to its full potential, so instead of sending it back to be recalibrated for more stall, I went with an Ultimate from Lenny and this time with me giving them the correct info, that thing woke my car up like no other. It drives real sane in real NYC traffic and pulls like a freight train out the back door. Of course my tranny is also a best kept secret with all the tricks "Topboy" here in Brooklyn has performed. All in all, any three of these companies should put you in the ball park.

Cost was the difference, at least for me. (9.5" PTC).

They both make make the best converters as you see by the responses, and I don't think you can go wrong with either. The price of doing business might be just a little lower in AL as opposed to 'Jersey...

Luppo Dynamic for me in my 63 and my sons Dart. Both are street cars that get raced maybe once or twice a year. I use the Dynamic 9.5 converter and it drives on the street like a normal car and works nice at the track as it flashes about 4200 which is just what I wanted. I have never run PTC but all I hear is good about them also. I can onlytell about the ones I have run which ave been Luppo Dynamic and Turbo Action and both have worked great for me. Ron

I have had great cust service with Dynamic. And I only paid $595 for my 9.5 Dynamic which was the same price as the PTC converters back when I bought my last one around 2011. Sean gave me $100 dollars off since it was the third converter I had bought from them in a 8 year span. Gave me awesome service. Ron
