I'm not sure, I’ll measure it next time I’m out there. I’m only 5’9”, so interior clear height isn’t something I’ve ever been concerned with.

From looking at the interior fender wells I’d say it’s 78”. It’s a nice trailer LW. You did good Bud!

One of those, a winch, and some 2x4’s and plywood to build a bench into the V-Nose.... I think that’s about all I’ll need.

thanks for checking back in, 67. Yes, I’ve made one trip to the track thus far and was happy as heck when I wheeled the big Satellite into the trailer and found I had way more room that I was expecting. I can open the door and squeeze out (I’m not a real big guy though). Plenty of room in front of the car for gear and stuff. Building it out inside will probably be next winters project. The bummer was that the wounded 8-3/4 drained a bunch of gear-oil onto the floor. One trip, and it’s already stained up a bit.

Funny story: a few years back, before I even had my open trailer, then the car was essentially still a streetcar, my buddy loaned me his enclosed trailer for a day trip to the track. I broke the 8-3/4 that day as well. He pointed out last week that my car has been in an enclosed trailer twice; both times it has come home with a broken rear end. Sorta funny, I suppose. But if it breaks something this weekend, I may sell the trailer and go back to an open. Hahaha!

Got the Dana fully fitted this past weekend.... glad I popped for the bitchin’ Moser cover!! dang it looks tough under there now!

Someone should start a thread about how their race car trailers are set up. That would be good info for someone starting up like this.

Nice trailer. I added a electric tongue jack and winch in mine. For security reasons.
I added slide lock latches to the rear door and lock from the inside, just in case someone cuts off the outside locks, they still can't get in.
I also use the electric tongue jack as an anti-theft device. I jack it up all the way and cut the power to it from inside, so one else can lower it onto their truck.
I also have a clevis bolted to the side entrance door and hook my winch cable to it and gently hit the remote control switch until I see tension on the door. Then keep the remote in the garage. No opening the side door without releasing the winch.
I also have wagon wheel style rims and chain the two wheels together. When stored for longer periods.
I also lock all of safety chains (4) with the tongue lock, so no one can use just the chains to steal trailer (my buddies open trailer was stolen this way by just hooking the chains on. (We think, because the tongue had a lock and they took it when no one was home for like 10 mins).
It also has a solar powered alarm system with siren if ever needed.
And, finally, the trailer is backed up to my rear fence I have enough vehicles that my truck is always parked in front of the trailer when not in use and another spare car parked up close to the side door.
If someone wants it that bad they are ready going to have to work for it.
Between all of this, also my Rottweiler and having Smith and Wesson near by I never worry while stored.

Joking aside, I am big on security too, and while part of that has to do with choosing a relatively secure area to live in, I have security cameras all around that record to the cloud, so the video recording is secure, and I get notifications on my phone. 3 fierce dogs, and if I'm home, this would be the last home invasion any would be thief or killer would enter. I guarantee they would leave in a bag.
So kudos to you for securing your property.

My one buddy pays extra to keep his in a locked reputable brand name storage lot with cameras aiming right at the front of his trailer. However, the p.o.s thieves cut the chain link fence behind his trailer and used a cordless Sawzall and cut a 3'x4' hole in the right rear of his trailer. They were there a long time, they stole everything that would fit. Top tool box, jack stands, fuel jugs, spare tire, extra slicks and wheels, lifted the scooter over the car, removed hood and took off Dominator and nitrous plate/kit. Cameras never saw a thing. We still think it was someone that works there.

So "no liability" clause I guess on the part of the storage facility?
Police report? They could request the video feed, or issue a warrant for it. I know you said nothing on the cameras, but that doesn't sound right.

There were 2 cameras aimed towards the front of his trailer the whole time. He watched video footage. They came in from behind the storage lot.

Best theft deterrent IMO is a big loud dog on the property. My stuff is all fenced in. The dog is loud, even though she’s just a sweetie. If she wakes up, I do too.

If you have room a generator is nice and a cheap microwave . I put a microwave in mine an it comes in handy.

Good idea, Tintoy. I’d like to have a small, quiet generator. I do have a motorhome that I can tow with anytime I’m going to be at the track for extended timeframes. It has a generator, and my F150 has an onboard inverter as well.
Mostly I want to get my winch set up, and a small bench with small toolbox dedicated to the trailer.
