So saturday I was walking around a local show and came across a super clean 65 Coronet with a full Indy big block in the car. Started talking to the guy since I am in the market for a motor and trans. He ended up having the prior motor that was in the car sitting in his shop with less then 1000 miles since being built.

Motor spec:
66 383 block
Keith Black pistons
Edelbrock Aluminum heads
Comp 21-224-4 Cam
Roller rockers
Blanced and blueprinted
Dougs Headers

Motor had an old Weiand 2x4 manifold that is keeping. I am planning on putting a Edelbrock Performer RPM and a Edelbrock 750 on it. Thinking she should make about 400 HP. Looking for a nice street set up.

Just seeing what you guys think about that set up and if that is a good intake carb combo for it? Thanks

Will post pics this weekend when I pick it up.

Yes the Performer RPM and a 750 is a good setup on a mild street car. I would go with it. Ron

Assuming this is a street motor I'd start with a 625 - 650. Carbs work better with a strong signal, plus how much time will you spend at max RPM?
