Does anyone know how to repair the cables if they come in contact with the header pipe? I have a 3/8 of an inch spot that touched the header pipe, and it now leaks a little. thanks....

Take the cable loose. Use brake Clean to get the cable clean. Insert it into some rubber fuel line. Fill the space with silicone. Repair made. I'll bet Apple Valley has changed since I lived there in the 60's.

If you need to you can order a new one from Schumacher early B body supply company

Yup. Slide heat shrink tubing over it and heat it up, fixed. Use the kind with the glue inside. Also slide it over the metal crimped ends 1/2 on the metal and 1/2 on the plastic. It won't seep there anymore either. I've tried various methods over the years and this method is the first one that works for good. I have the shrink tube if you need some , PM me your address.

Exactly but what I do is double heat shrink it and go longer on the 2nd layer. you wont leak anymore.
