Hi!
Looking for any information on finding proper push rod lenght for my la 318. I put a thumper cam in it . Now i feel like the push rods may be too long. Has anyone seen any online info on how to properly determine the lenght or even better has anyone seen any youtube vids specific to a stock rocker arm set up on a 318?? Any info would be helpful.
Thanks
Max

Given the fixed rocker fulcrum and a hydraulic cam, with the lifter on the base circle, your pushrod length is the distance between the rocker and the lifter plunger + desired lifter preload.

Do you know if the push rods shoild be solid or if they should have the oil hole? The ones i received when my engine were rebuild were solid. No oil hole. The rockers have oil holes in them .

That's correct, pushrods are solid and pushrod end is oiled through that hole in the rocker.
