Q1A control arms

I just got my set of Q1A control arms in today. I got the uppers and the lowers as a set. I must say thay sure do look better in person than in the book !! Even have Grease fitting in the bushings. VERY Nice parts here !!
Can't wait to get them mocked up but the rear is calling me first ! LOL!!
I Also found them at the best price at Summet . There not in there catilog just put the part # in on line and there thay are !
Free shipping and the whole deal for around $678. Thats all 4 control arms ! I thought it was a deal !?!?!
I will shoot some pics if you want to see up close just ask.

Is that a quick change rear I see?? Friggin bitchin!!
 
YEP !!! It has a 31 spline Detroit locker in it and a 4:86 R&P. The Sper gears I have I can run 4:11,4:39,4:86, for rite now so I think I can tune it in close so far ? But its 15 min gear change !!
But I must tell ya its BIG !!! Like a FAT chick on a Sportster !!!! LOL!!

Got my front on today and must say I REALY like the QA1 arms. Also started to Mock up the motor and my fuel injection intake idea.Rf.jpgLF.jpgMtr3.jpg
 
Now I am starting to look for the EFI parts to buld my system. I have seen it done before but not sure on the parts I will need ??
I know a TPS and fuel rails + injecter bungs . Think this is going to be my tufest part !:iamwithstupid:
 
Yes I am useing a Pinto rack. BUT I also have a tube K frame !:book1:

That is too cool TJ and I imagine a first (the quick change) here on FBBO. I kept meaning to ask you about that. You should start a thread about your build with appropriate title. Just go to the restoration section or wherever you feel appropriate and start the thread like this one. I don't think we have a modified or handling section so resto section is closest I imagine.
 
Is that a QA1 K member? I've been looking into them, but what I found there was no definitive answers to whether a R&P could be used...maybe I just haven't been looking in the right places...that would be awesome...

When you say 'build' your EFI, you planning on MegaSquirt or what?

No it is Not. I bult this K,member in house and it has No motor mounts or steering box mounts as it is made for a Rack and motor plates.
The QA1 has the motor mounts and the steering box mount the intergradedid into it. I was talking with them and thay don't offer a K,Member for a rack. I am not sure if there is one that uses a rack and stock 'T' bar setup thats why I bult my own.
I am not sure WHO to use for my injection parts yet ?? I want to run a setup with NO Mass air flo and no return fuel line if I can help it.
The Hat is already set up for the flow as 1 outer port is blocked off to get the flow #'s rite on air. But I need all the other parts from injecter bungs to T.P.S switch. So I am looking into anyone who can point me in the rite direction !!
Working on the rear set up rite now like pinion angles and ride height plus shocks and also bulding a disc brake set up.
I will post pics as soon as I get farther along. Thank you for your interest and please chim in anytime as I am always open to ideas and feed back ! :eusa_pray:
 
I was looking at them and also FastmanEFI. I need to make the TPS switch mount and weld the injecter bungs in the intake and so on.
 
What are you using for a throttle body? Not sure of a tps 'mount' that must be fabbed, as they typically just bolt on to the TB inline w/ the blade shaft at a place that's cast to accept them...it's also more appropriately called a potentiometer, not a switch (variable voltage device, not just on/off). What intake you gonna use?
 
What you see in the pic is what I am useing. That is a BDS Throttle body Hat NOT a MrG fake !
The intake I need to weld the bungs in it yet. I also saw a TPS
Mounted to the trottle linkage on ALKYDIGGERS site.
 
Oh, haha, duh. I was so consumed by the K member and quick change, I overlooked the intake/hat...

It should prove interesting as I get into that part more ! So I am looking into all supplyers of EFI parts .
