Question, 69 Roadrunner trunk lid

I just bought my 69 Roadrunner a month ago. The previous owner had a "Plymouth" emblem in place on the right lower side of the trunk lid. The proper emblem is the "Road Runner" emblem. The trunk lid has 3 holes drilled in it for the "plymouth" emblem. My question is; Is it the same for the Roadrunner emblem(s)? I have only been able to find the emblem in 2 separate words "Road" "Runner" .... that doesn't seem like it would work with 3 holes...... Thanks Guys.:headbang:

I don't ever recall seeing a Plymouth emblem on the trunk lid. Just a full color standing bird decal in the center recess above the lock. The Plymouth emblem goes on the hood above the grille on the left side.

The Plymouth Satellite had a "Plymouth" emblem in the same area a Roadrunner had its "road runner" emblems. You'll have to weld in the holes, grind flush, do a little body/filler work and re-drill for the Roadrunner emblems. Those will have 4 posts total, they obviously don't match with the 3 holes. I had to do the same on a Satellite trunk I converted for my Roadrunner. Either that or cut off the studs on a set of roadrunner emblems and use decent 2 sided 3M adhesive trim tape instead. I couldn't tell you if the emblems would line up perfectly enough to cover the 3 holes for the old Plymouth emblem though. Good luck

Its been a long time for me remembering but my 69 has "Road Runner" on the right side of the trunk deck and ive briefly looked around for the emblem that is in one of these desk dwars as its been awhile since i took it off and im not sure how many holes are there.. thought i would mention it but im sure someone will set me straight if its wrong...

3 holes for a satellite with a "Plymouth" emblem on trunk (same emblem as hood lip emblem on RR). 4 holes for "road runner" emblems on trunk (2 studs/holes each word).
