I just installed a new fan w/ new clutch on my '66 Satellite. It had a regular fan before. My question, if anyone knows, is how close should the clutch part be from the radiator? Right now it is about 3/8", maybe a little closer, from the radiator. I am just wanting to now if this is to close. I just don't want to run it and have it go into my radiator although I don't see how it could move anywhere. Thanks

I've had had a couple that were 3/8" to 1/2" from the radiator when using a clutch fan.

Thats plenty as long as your running a shroud. Any closer then that you'll have to worry about body/frame flex getting into the mix which isn't good! I learned the hard way

generally 1/2" clearance is recommended. if its closer than that just make sure the clutch is tight and no wobbles.
