Question about the Marketplace

He is a Dick Head isn't he. I get a laugh every time he responds.:icon_winkle: The Curmudgeon of FBBO...:icon_fU:

On this post...The thing that bothers me, and Bruzilla has a great example of it, are the ones that do that type of "STROKING". Now the term is not what it might imply to some but rather an old sales term that is very prevalent in today's world. Buyers will Stroke Sellers just to see if they can get a response that is in their favor and then just blow the Seller off. Stroking them. It is just like the "LOOKY LOUS" that always pop up and want it real badly but don't have the cash right up front. So they Stroke along the Seller until the Seller has had enough and ignores the individual all together. Kind of like I will gladly pay you Tuesday for a Hamburger today. Really Whimpie of them. I do at times come back at these Clowns with, "Are you buying or browsing?" If you are buying then here is what is needed and show me the money. Pretty simple if one were to ask me????:headbang:

X9:tongue9:

Funny.....Sometimes I open up FBBO and get this page:

I had one guy bother me for 3 weeks about a climate control unit out of my Civic, the part was $20 and he kept saying that he will get it tomorrow, then tomorrow, then tomorrow. Eventually I told him to **** off and that it's in my garbage if he wants it. Sure enough, the night before garbage day he showed up at my house around 11:30pm and I watched him pick it out of my garbage.

Needless to say, noone in Hamilton deals with him anymore and he is banned from all of the Import classifieds in my area. Probably because I posted a picture of him picking through my trash along with an explanation.

Some months ago a member listed some parts in the marketplace section. I would have liked to purchase them but didn't have the money at the time. Fast forward to present day and I have some extra money so I dug through and found the thread again. Didn't look like they had sold so I replied to the thread and sent the member a PM asking if they were still available. Before I saw the reply in the thread that yes they were available, another member jumped in and said he would take them. He also PMd the seller. Now my question, should I not have been first in line to make the purchase or should I have stated I wanted to buy at the time I asked if they were available? Thanks!

Money talks

Wow! You guys are ruthless! Not a biggie, I have other things I can spend my car money on. Thanks for all the comments and thoughts!

I just happened to come across this post and I am the person who he is not happy with. I responded to his inquiry about the door panels I was selling. I gave him a wrong reply saying the person Who PM's me did not think he wanted them since they were leaving the country. Customs might add additional charges to the sale. I went back into my forum emails and saw there were a total of 3 people who asked me about them. He was one of them. That was my fault talking about the wrong person he was referring to. And in my email there was a person who was in front of him. Long story shortened, I messed up with him and he is not happy. I did apologize in PM to him. He has the right to air this out if he is inclined, but as I said, I did apologize for the mix-up and confusion "I" caused on this. Matt

Not a problem mguesto. Next time I guess I need to say I have the cash and want to buy when I inquire about a part! Thanks everyone for the thoughts and comments. Not sure what to do with the Xs yet, but I'm sure they will find a use sometime.......

Using simple core math this post has 43,545,601 in agreements. Just a little FYI for y'all.

(not including the infinities because those aren't part of simple core)
