Can I install a part throttle kick down module on my early (before '71) trans? I know that I can phisically bolt it on the VB but i'm wanting to know if there are any modifications I need to do to make it work properly or is it just a bolt-on deal? I've read that DC (Direct Connection) used to sell the PTK modules out of the catalogs as an upgrade back in the day but can't seem to find any information on them.

Thanks in advance.

i bolted many of those on pre 71 trannys with no issues at all.

i was unbolting them off early and mid 90s trannys mostly A500s and they work great.

Another question - the module only affects the 3-2 downshift correct?

yes, thats it, gives you a nice transition when cruising, just ease into the throttle and presto, 2nd gear!
