Drove our new beauty home on Tuesday and we were a bit startled to hear what sounded like the rear tires hitting the inside rear fender when we would go over the seams connecting the freeway to the overpasses. The suspension handled the standard road bumps well otherwise. Still won't be taking it down some of our bad roads.

Upon inspection, it appeared that we were correct. The wider tires in the rear of car were knocking the fender/wheel well. There were some marks on the tires that indicated they had scraped.

We're definitely taking the big and littles off for the time being and will swap over to standard 14 or 15 inch rims. Really cool look, but not practical for a daily driver. That made me question the leaf springs. We'd like to start on replacing those as well, as soon as possible.

If we go through Classic Industries, it's going to run us up to $500 for the pair, but if we go through summit racing, we can get them for about half (not including any other parts we might need). This car is going to be a daily driver while we work on it. Will it be problematic to put something like this on it for a daily driver?

Should be noted that the rear end is leaning a bit on the drivers side.

Will the difference between standard and racing springs be noticable? I'm guessing a stiff ride with the racing springs...

Make sure you order a set of stock rear shackles as well. Your car has aftermarket extended shackles now, which is why it's so high in the rear. Leaning could be worn out springs or a pair of air shocks, either with uneven pressure (individual lines) or a blown bag. Might check that out too in case you need to replace the shocks. Have fun.

The racing springs are Super Stock springs to fit A bodies; they will fit the B body by adding the front spring hanger. I have to order springs too because mine are almost parallel to the ground. I'm looking at the stock springs that came with 440 and Hemi powered vehicles.

ESPO Springs is a good company too - very knowledgeable techs and their pricing is inline with Summit.
