Don't know if anyone saw the Quick Fuel EFI in the Mopar magazine this month, but looks like a great set up. It's a wide band system so it's E-85 compatible. It's only rated for 520 HP & 370 on E-85 which was a little on the low side for what I wanted. I did contact them and they will be coming out with a bigger HP kit this spring. I'm hoping it will be a 800hp kit so the E85 rating will be 560! That way if I can't find E85 I can still run 93 premium. Keep your fingers crossed. The EFI should also help fight vapor lock too. Now if I can just figure out a way to make it a mechanical secondary I'd have my dream set up!

If it's from Quickfuel Technologies it should be a quality piece too, never tried or ran one thou

blocking the heat riser passage in the head to the intake,
they make intake gaskets that have it blocked off already

Heat soaking carb & fuel & Vapor-Locking issues
other things that you can try, some more costly than others
also larger diameter {even non metallic} fuel lines/larger size fuel pick-up
also thermal coating or heat wrapping the headers
a phenolic or composite spacer &/or heat shield, under the carb or throttle body etc.
wrapping/insulating the fuel lines in the engine compartment also
using a bypass style fuel regulator, with a return line back to the tank/cell,
all these will help or cure vapor-lock issues, any of these, helps to keep the fuel much cooler

cast iron manifold {& heads} are notorious for these issue
aluminum is way better at dissipating heat, less prone to heat soak

good luck

It's an expensive proposition. Maybe for a daily driver but not worth it for a crusier.

Mechanic, Kit lists for around 2K, cheaper than a six pak, flex fuel friendly, It'll help me try to meet my goals on my build. #1 15 mpg, #2 11.50 ET in 1/4 #3 very streetable manners

How does the kit compare price wise to the FAST EZ-EFI 2? To me that setup is the one to use.

Fast is about 2800. If I read correctly the Quick system 4th parameter added to help just off idle with engines with bigger lopey cams. Idle, off idle, cruise, & fullthrottle. I saw a review from a different magazine, that was instaling it on a SBC with a Thumper cam. They had said they had tried different carbs & EFI's and had not been able to get it to run smoothly all the time, but had good success with this kit due to the added off idle mode to help tune the stumble out.

As mentioned a review I recently read, don't forget to add in the cost of a high pressure in-tank fuel pump and a fuel cell or modding the stock tank (a new tank is recommended).

If I read correctly they used a external pump and all fuel lines and pump were included. I might be mistaken though.
So you wouldn't need to mod the tank. My car is a new build so I would have to buy something anyway so wouldn't be that much additional cost. Is the Fast unit a wide band type, E85 friendly?

some guys sware by {or at maybe} Richard Nedball's {hemi expert} the FASTMANEFI

various different levels systems of programs & support directly from Richard {use to e anyway}

http://www.fastmanefi.com

might look into them also...
good luck
